The Stade Velodrome, known as the Orange Velodrome for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose stadium in Marseille, France. It is home to the Olympique de Marseille football club of Ligue 1 since it opened in 1937, and was a venue in the 1998 FIFA World Cup, the 2007 Rugby World Cup and the UEFA Euro 2016.

The football spectacle at the 2024 Summer Olympics, slated from July 24 to August 10, 2024, will unfold across multiple French cities besides Paris, including Bordeaux, Décines-Charpieu (near Lyon), Marseille, Nantes, Nice, and Saint-Étienne.

Encompassing both men's and women's tournaments, FIFA-affiliated associations will send teams to vie for Olympic glory. Men's teams, composed of under-23 players (born on or after January 1, 2001), with a maximum of three overage players, will clash, while the women's category has no age restrictions.

The defending champions, Brazil in the men's division and Canada in the women's heighten the anticipation for the Olympic football tournaments at Paris 2024.
