Olympic ShootingSummer Olympics - Paris Olympic 2024

Shooting, a testament to precision, focus, and skill, has stood strong in the Olympic arena since the birth of the modern Games in 1896. Across rifle, pistol, and shotgun events, athletes showcase their marksmanship and composure in a sport that demands unwavering accuracy.

In Olympic Shooting, powerhouse nations like the former Soviet Union, the United States, and China have consistently produced top-tier marksmen. Icons such as Oleksandr Petriv from Ukraine have secured multiple gold medals, epitomizing mastery with firearms.

The United States, a stronghold in shooting sports, boasts luminaries like Carl Osburn and Kim Rhode, instrumental in the nation's medal haul across various rifle and shotgun events.

China's ascent in Olympic Shooting is underscored by luminaries like Zhang Shan and Du Li, whose dominance in pistol and rifle categories has propelled the nation to international acclaim.

As the Paris 2024 Olympics near, marksmen worldwide are gearing up for the challenge at the Versailles Shooting Range. The competition promises high stakes, where athletes will display unparalleled precision and focus as they vie for Olympic honors.

In Paris 2024, shooting events will span from July 27 to August 5 at the National Shooting Center in Chateauroux, welcoming 340 shooters across fifteen events. The Olympic shooting program embraces evolution, introducing new final formats and substituting mixed team trap competitions with mixed team skeet, fostering a dynamic and inclusive contest.
