The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional American football team based in Jacksonville, Florida. The Jaguars compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference South division. The team plays its home games at TIAA Bank Field.

Founded alongside the Carolina Panthers in 1995 as an expansion team, the Jaguars competed in the AFC Central until they were moved to the AFC South in 2002. The franchise is owned by Shahid Khan, who bought the team from its original majority owner Wayne Weaver in 2012.

The Jaguars saw early success during their second through fifth seasons, which saw them make the playoff each year, win two division titles, and appear in two AFC Championship Games. They are the youngest NFL expansion team to appear in a conference championship and clinch their conference's top seed. The Jaguars have been less successful since, with only four playoff appearances and two division titles since 2000. They are one of four NFL franchises that have never played in the Super Bowl alongside the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, and Houston Texans.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are entering the 2025 NFL season with a renewed sense of purpose following a challenging 4–13 campaign in 2024. Under the leadership of new head coach Liam Coen and general manager James Gladstone, the team is focused on rebuilding and returning to playoff contention.​

Coen, formerly the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the University of Kentucky, brings a fresh offensive philosophy to the team. His system aims to maximize the potential of quarterback Trevor Lawrence, tailoring the offense to his strengths and emphasizing quick reads, play-action schemes, and a balanced rushing attack.

In the 2024 NFL Games Draft, the Jaguars selected wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. in the first round. Thomas made an immediate impact, setting franchise rookie records with 87 receptions, 1,282 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns. His performance earned him a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team.

The Jaguars' 2025 schedule features a mix of challenging matchups and opportunities for growth. They will play all four teams from the AFC West and NFC West divisions, as well as their AFC South rivals. Notably, the Jaguars will host a game at Wembley Stadium in London, continuing their tradition of international play.
