fonte nova arena Tickets

Casa de Apostas Arena Fonte Nova is a football stadium located in Salvador, in the Brazilian state of Bahia; it was rebuilt on the site of the former Octávio Mangabeira Stadium, from which it inherited the nickname "Fonte Nova." The arena's official name is the Octávio Mangabeira Sports and Cultural Complex. However, due to naming rights agreements, it was known as Itaipava Arena Fonte Nova between 2013 and 2023, before adopting its current name in 2024 after the rights were sold to the company Casa de Apostas. To facilitate construction, the old structure was imploded on August 29, 2010, making way for Arena Fonte Nova—Bahia's host venue project for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. By early January 2013, 90% of the construction work was complete, making it the fourth most advanced stadium among the twelve hosting the 2013 Confederations Cup and the 2014 World Cup. By March, construction had reached 99% completion. The stadium was officially inaugurated on April 5, with then-President Dilma Rousseff in attendance. The arena's first match was the "Ba-Vi" derby, held two days later, in which Vitória emerged victorious with a 5–1 win. Renato Cajá, a player for the *rubro-negro baiano* (Bahia's red-and-black team), made history by scoring the first goal following the inauguration. It employs the same successful multi-purpose management model used in Europe by the Johan Cruijff Arena—home to Ajax and one of the world's major leisure centers. The stadium has an official capacity of 48,661 spectators across three tiers of covered seating, featuring private boxes, views of both the pitch and the Dique do Tororó, and 2,000 parking spaces. Its facilities also include a press room, kiosks, elevators, restrooms, and a business center that operates independently of match days. In addition to soccer matches, Arena Fonte Nova hosts other events such as musical performances, conferences, and business meetings. Its vertical structure, featuring three tiers of seating, brings the audience closer to the action, fostering greater engagement and enhancing acoustics.
