The Allianz Riviera (Stade de Nice) is a multi-use stadium in Nice, France, used mostly for football matches of host OGC Nice and also for occasional home matches of rugby union club Toulon. The stadium has a capacity of 36,178 people and replaces the city's former stadium Stade Municipal du Ray.

The Scotland national rugby union team represents Scotland in international rugby union is managed by the Scottish Rugby Union. In 2000 the competition known a sixth competitor, Italy, thus forming the Six Nations. Since this change, Scotland have yet to win the rivalry. The Rugby World Cup was introduced in 1987 and Scotland have contested in all nine competitions, the most recent being in 2019, where they failed to reach the quarter-finals. Their best finish came in 1991, where they lost to the All Blacks in the third-place play-off.
